Kyotofu - Fall 2010
Do what you love and love what you do ..^‿^..
Kyotofu updates some of their menus for the season. Like the pumpkin and chestnut flavors on some desserts (yeah... it was way back to the Halloween)
However! Their famous cupcake (with variety of flavors) is all-year-round.
I get the green tea cupcake, which comes with a green tea & pumpkin flavor ice cream and some jam-like berries. The pumpkin flavor ice cream is quite special, although it kind of taking away the spotlight of the main character - green tea cupcake.
Then there is this Anmitsu. Azuki red bean, greatfruit agar and coffee agar, shiratama dango & kinako ice cream (there are choices between kinako ice cream and coconut ice cream) Since we don't know what kinako is, we pick the one we don't know ;P [from wiki: Kinako, aka soybean flour, is a product commonly used in Japanese cuisine. Kinako is produced by finely grinding roasted soybeans into powder] The first taste is weird, then it gets better :)
I also want to try their macaroon. Today the trio are Double Chestnut, Strawberry & Sesame. Sesame taste really good, crunchy out and chewy in. Strawberry is jelly inside. Chestnut however... can't taste much of chestnut.
A nice way to spend half of my afternoon. ..^‿^..

HK Hell's Kitchen
Nothing so fancy here, yet it's the beauty of it

Table set.

A huge bun of crab cake with mango salsa and paprika oil. This piece was soft and you could see the crab meat in it (that's being said, crab meat taste was not strong enough)

I tried many of the Chinese soup dumpling, I expected this French Onion Soup Dumpling to be similar, with a mouthful of delicious soup. Apparently I was wrong. The dumplings were covered by a thick layer of cheese and they were full of saturated onion chops. Sweet.

Basil Lasagna with mushrooms, I like this dish a lot. I enjoy the sense of basil in every bite~
This could be very stuffy as it was pretty cheesy.

Wild Mushroom Ravioli with sun-dried tomatoes and fresh herbs.

Kyotofu
I have always been looking for dessert places to hang-out :P
This is not only a dessert place, but a Japanese style dessert place!

This is the Dessert omakase (assortments) of 5, find more details in Read more. (。◕‿◕。)

I would say, you can't go to a Japanese dessert place without ordering a matcha drink! It's refreshing ≧▽≦

Here came the 1st little piece - vegan valrhona chocolate cake.
I think they call the cream part vanilla bean paste, it's not ice cream, but mix perfectly with the chocolate cake (`・ω・´)

Pettie green tea brulee, the good thing about these assortments is you get to try more, but ... they are so so small.. (-_ -a)

The signature sweet tofu, with kuromitsu syrup on top, taste pretty much like pudding with a lighter flavor. The little piece was a dry pineapple.

The passion fruit macarons. Delcicous~

Tada~ here came my favorite of the day! The green tea fudge. Rich rich green tea flavor with rich mouthfeel! Daisuki! ヽ( ≧▽≦)ノ

Then there was soymilk soft ice cream sundae with matcha mochi. After all the wonderful pettie dessert, the sundae was not as impressive, it felt like a normal soft ice cream

The white sesame cake could be more delicious if I hadn't ate all the goodies before >__<
To end this sweet delightful afternoon, there 2 small flower cakes that came with the check, chewy and yummy ♥
